• IVCA organised the second edition of the Impact and Sustainable Investment Conference supported by Eversouce and NIIF. The core discussions during this conference revolved around the importance of ESG implementation in investment philosophy, climate change and investing strategies, the newer strategies of Impact investments, social enterprises, regulatory aspects and gender diversity among other issues.

• IVCA hosted a webinar on recent ruling of Bangalore CESTAT for funds. The distinguished speakers discussed the issue at hand, basis of demand, findings of the Tribunal, key regulatory concepts relevant in the matter, Fund Manager's dilemma and the way forward.

• DERBI Foundation organised Virtual Bio Investor Meet 2021 supported by Karnataka Innovation and Technology and IVCA. This was a unique platform bringing high growth potential bio-startups (Agritech, Biotech, Healthcare, MedTech, Diagnostics, FoodTech) including the Elevate Idea2PoC Winners face-to-face with investors .
 
 
Advocacy

Renuka Ramnath, IVCA Chairperson and Karthik Reddy, Vice Chairman, IVCA along with few EC Members conducted a meeting with Shri Ajay Seth, Secretary DEA to discuss the critical industry issues such as tax parity across all the securities, GST on management fee for foreign investors, Service tax on the provision of services by VCF, SCRA Amendment in Budget 2021 and overseas listing.

IVCA members attended the meeting organised by SEBI with Shri Amarjeet Singh to discuss the Permanent Capital Vehicle (PCV) issue.

AIPAC meeting with SEBI highlighted the few critical issues such as Co-investments with AIFs through PMS route, Investment restriction on Category III AIFs, Framework for overseas investment by AIFs , Appointment of Investment bankers and performance Benchmarking

IVCA also appointed NSE Indices as a Performance benchmarking agency in July and Preqin in June 21.
